Last chance to enter!

Today is the last day to enter to win your very own copy of
The Day the World Ends by Ethan Coen!

To give you an idea of what you can expect, here's a sample of his poetry:

To the Printer
Why all this white space?
Are these poems such little dears,
Are they so, so precious
That they can't be expected to share a page?
They need
A kick in the ass is what they need.
Believe me,
They'd sit on whatever page they were told.

Getting Old
Getting old
It really sucks
First goes figure
Then go f****
Then your wits
Decide they're done
Yeah gettin old
She ain't no fun.

Who is this newborn,
Time will tell;
The old man dying
We know well.
For who departs we
Fit goodbyes;
How greet, however,
Who arrives?

  1. Liking Getting Old. As for it being no fun, I quite enjoy the prospect of becoming a grumpy old woman.

    1. Getting Old is one of my favorites from this collection! Although I'm looking forward to being a grumpy old lady, sitting on her porch, shaking her cane at the kids on my lawn. *L*

  2. Oops...missed the boat on this one...but loving the poetry samples. Good luck to all that entered!

  3. So funny. That poet looks like a riot. I haven't heard of him before but I am quite intrigued, heh.
