I was in need of a new way to showcase titles, and finally decided that My Book Haul seems like a good fit. I like giving books a little special attention as sometimes it can be awhile before I'm able to review them. Sad to say, but some get put on the shelf and gather a little dust before I'm able to give them the love they deserve. I've included links to Goodreads if you want more information.

I keep trying to stick to my book buying ban in order to work on my TBR piles, then I come across something I just HAVE to have and fall off the wagon again! An Iron Druid novella? I'm there!
by
Kevin Hearne
Atticus O’Sullivan is back in an all-new, action-packed, laugh-out-loud novella from the author of The Iron Druid Chronicles. Two-thousand-year-old Atticus may have outwitted and outfought everyone from Odin to Bacchus, but in this eBook original, he’s about to discover what comes around when you go around messing with gods.

Fell off the wagon again when I saw this one on featured on Stories & Sweets. I'm a sucker for anthologies, and I've never read one centered around prophecies & predictions.
What did you receive this week?

Have fun with your new books.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ryan! Hope you have a great weekend!
DeleteI so need to start reading the Iron Druid books and soon. Great haul of books.

The main character of Atticus is pretty awesome, but my heart belongs to his Irish Wolfhound, Oberon!
DeleteAhh! That kitten in the mail box is the cutest thing ever!!!
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy your books.

Cool that we both got Foretold! I love anthologies too. They're a great way to check out new authors or venture into a new (sub)genre, in my opinion ^^
Happy reading!
A fellow anthology lover! Yea! Totally agree that they're a great way to venture into new territory! I keep falling off my book buying ban, but it's not entirely my fault as some books are just too good to resist! *whistles innocently*

DeleteFORETOLD!!! Okay, I admit the main reason I want to read that is for the Rose/Dimitri short story :D I'm a huge Vampire Academy fan. But there are also so many of my favourite authors involved. I'm especially excited for Laini Taylor's story too! I really hope you love it!
ReplyDeleteI NEED to read the Iron Druid series! I keep hearing such great things about those books.

Brodie, you really, really NEED to read Atticus and Oberon, as they are made of awesome! And thanks to you, I've added Spark to my wishlist and am looking forward to grabbing a copy!
DeleteThe mention of so many wonderful books is the only minus thing about blogging. Also on a self-imposed book buying ban, I sympathise with what you are saying.
