Today's topic - Share a highlight of this year’s BBAW. Whether it’s a blog you discovered or a book you’re going to read or a way you felt refreshed, this is the day to celebrate the week!
It's hard to believe that the week is over already. I'm not even halfway through the posts from day one, and haven't even started on the day four posts!
My favorite part of BBAW is discovering new blogs. I'm still working my way through the Day 1 Appreciation posts, where bloggers shared some of their favorites. I've already added over 20 new-to-me blogs to my Google Reader, and I'm sure I'll find even more!
I've found blogs that have been around 7-8 years that I can't believe I haven't stumbled across before! I've also found several brand-spanking new blogs, and I'm impressed that they're so well-done! When I started, I felt like my blog was a mess and I had no idea what I was doing (still don't). These guys look like pros already!
I love finding new blogging buddies!
So am curious...what was your favorite part of BBAW?

I was bummed that I didn't know about BBAW earlier so I wasn't able to participate, but I do plan on at least trying to read all the posts about it (I just got back from vacation and my google reader is VERY scary looking right now).
ReplyDeleteThanks to BBAW, I think everyone's readers are a little scary right now!
DeleteAs you say a great way to discover new and new-to-you blogs. A bit like Kimberly I only discovered this years BBAW when I came across your post as it doesn't seem to have been as well publicised as other years. Anyway, great that you've met some new blogger buddies, they're lucky to have a friend in you.
ReplyDeleteI think you're right and BBAW wasn't as visible as it was in previous years. Think that might have been because they weren't doing awards, so didn't need nominations. Thank you for the kind words PW! :)
DeleteIt's been a fun week. I admit I liked day four the best--the book recommendations. Not only because of the books, but also because it gave us a bit more insight into the individual bloggers. I wasn't able to get to everyone either--and hope to catch up in the coming weeks. Hopefully.
ReplyDeleteIt might take me a few weeks to catch up on all of the posts, but I'm looking forward to it! Have to admit I still haven't even looked at the day 4 posts. :(
DeleteSounds like you had a great week -- and in some ways it's only just beginning with new blogs and posts yet to explore. My favorite day was the interview swap. It was so great to get to know people a little more in depth.
ReplyDeleteYou're right that it's only beginning, as I still haven't started on the day 4 posts. So much more to discover! Can't wait!
DeleteI hear ya...I haven't gotten through the lists either.
ReplyDeleteIt is so much fun discovering new blogs...yours was one of them. :)
I found so many great blogs and more wonderful books. This was my first time participating.
It is has been a fabulous week. I loved it all.
Stop by my blog if you like to see my Day 3, 4, and 5 responses if you like.

It's been a really fabulous week! I'm sure my reader and wishlist will both be huge by the time I'm done. *L*
DeleteI can't believe how many book bloggers there are either! It's almost as overwhelming as how many books there are out there! ;)
ReplyDeleteI know! And new blogs keep popping up almost every day. So impressive!
Deletediscovering new blogs has definitely been one of the best parts of BBAW.. and discovering you are a part of this wonderful community
ReplyDeleteCouldn't have said it better! :)
DeleteI honestly don't even have a favorite day - I didn't even intend to participate every day, but because I was finding so many other book bloggers, that I didn't want to miss even 1 day of the fun.

I didn't post every day, but am having fun reading everyone else's posts!
DeleteI wish I had had more time to partake, but, you know, boxes and all. Actually, I barely worked on boxes this week, but I was just so tired from working OT and from reading Nevermore and then Enshadowed that if I had a minute, I was just too tired to spend much time of the PC.
ReplyDeleteI do agree with you, though. I do like going to a blog and seeing where it will take me. I added a few new blogs to my blog roll that I am now following. I love seeing what other people read and review.
Seeing what others are reading and reviewing is how I find most of my new books now!
DeleteThanks for participating in BBAW! I know what you mean about being behind in the post reading!
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you organized BBAW Amy! Love seeing everyone come together like this and share their love of books!
DeleteYou found a lot of great new blogs! I subscribed to several too. Are you taking part in Bloggiesta? Another chance to meet great bloggers.
ReplyDeleteI love find new blogs during BBAW too, although I didn't get to spend as much time perusing participants as I have in years past. Thank you for stopping by my blog to leave a comment!
ReplyDeleteWell said my friend, well said. The connections have got to be my favorite part as well, even those made on the fly such as this year when I couldn't truly participate. It's an awesome event celebrating the awesomeness of each and every blogger out there. Three cheers for everyone! ^_^
