Jennifer Estep is one of those authors who can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned. I will read anything and everything with her name on it, because she's just that good. When she offered me a chance to review her latest book, I couldn't say yes fast enough! (well, first I squealed like a little girl, then I said yes please!)
Dark Frost by Jennifer Estep
I’ve seen so many freaky things since I started attending Mythos Academy last fall. I know I’m supposed to be a fearless warrior, but most of the time, I feel like I’m just waiting for the next Bad, Bad Thing to happen. Like someone trying to kill me - again.
Was offered a chance to review this one by Zeitghost Media. I've heard mixed reviews about it but the premise is interesting enough that I thought I'd read it & decide for myself.
Tempest by Julie Cross
The year is 2009. Nineteen-year-old Jackson Meyer is a normal guy… he’s in college, has a girlfriend… and he can travel back through time. But it’s not like the movies - nothing changes in the present after his jumps, there’s no space-time continuum issues or broken flux capacitors - it’s just harmless fun. That is… until the day strangers burst in on Jackson and his girlfriend, Holly, and during a struggle with Jackson, Holly is fatally shot. In his panic, Jackson jumps back two years to 2007, but this is not like his previous time jumps. Now he’s stuck in 2007 and can’t get back to the future.
Received an ARC of this one from the publisher. Don't remember requesting it, but it sounds intriguing.
An intense, psychological novel about one doctor's suspense-filled quest to unlock the mind of a suspected political assassin: his twenty-year old son.
