ARC Preview: Still Missing by Chevy Stevens

Shellie over at Layers of Thought has a great feature where she previews recently received ARCs. Hope she doesn't mind, but I liked the idea so much that I borrowed it from her. Thanks Shellie!

On the day she was abducted, Annie O’Sullivan, a thirty-two year old realtor, had three goals - sell a house, forget about a recent argument with her mother, and be on time for dinner with her ever-patient boyfriend. The open house is slow, but when her last visitor pulls up in a van as she's about to leave, Annie thinks it just might be her lucky day after all. Interwoven with the story of the year Annie spent as the captive of psychopath in a remote mountain cabin, which unfolds through sessions with her psychiatrist, is a second narrative recounting events following her escape - her struggle to piece her shattered life back together and the ongoing police investigation into the identity of her captor.

The truth doesn’t always set you free.

  1. This sounds so good! I like that it is about a woman in her 30's. Often when I think of abductions I think of younger people but this is a reminder that that is not always the case.

  2. This one sounds good. It seems like I have heard of it before somewhere, but if it's not out until July....hmmm.

  3. Nice feature....haven't heard of this MEME before, but I may have to consider it (with proper credit given of course). I have this one too! It sounds good....possibly scary/creepy but good... Thanks for sharing!

  4. The cover even has a spooky look to it with the broken glass. Great post!

  5. Alexia -
Thanks for the shout out about the previews. I love the little ARC logo... so much fun.
