Sometime when I wasn't looking, I passed 100 followers! Wow! I'm totally amazed and humbled and grateful that I have any followers, much less over 100! Thanks to each and every person who has ever stopped by and read my blog, and double thanks to everyone who liked it enough to become a follower! I'm speechless with gratitude...

Of course, anyone who knows me knows that I can't stay speechless for long...*L* I would like to say a great big THANK YOU to my wonderful, wonderful followers by having a party and giving out party favors! Being a bookaholic with a book blog, I think the perfect gifts would be books, so that's what I'm going to do! Going to have a giveaway to celebrate breaking 100! *throws confetti*

Here are the books up for grabs, with links to Goodreads for further info:

Truly, Madly ARC by Heather Webber (my review)
The Recipe Club by Israel & Garfinkel (my review)
0 To 60 by Susan Slater (my review)
Defenders of the Scroll by Shiraz (my review)
Spellbinder ARC by Helen Stringer (my review)
Under This Unbroken Sky ARC by Shandi Mitchell (my review)
Nightwalker by Jocelynn Drake (unread duplicate)
One Amazing Thing (TBR)
Penguin Luck (TBR)

Think that's a nice selection, with a little something for everyone. All of the books with a review have been gently read. If you choose a book from my TBR pile, I'll read and review it before shipping it out.

Decided to have multiple winners to does 3 sound? One for the most frequent commenter, one for current Google followers, and a special prize for those who want to be a little creative. I'll choose #2 and #3 with helpful Mr. Randomizer. So here we go...

My Most Frequent Commenter is: PAM

Pam has been a follower from almost the beginning of my blog. I'm not sure exactly how she found me, but I'm truly thankful that she did as she's a wonderful person! I feel like I've gotten to know her and her family through her blog (and I'm seriously thinking about catnapping Sassie!). She has a great blog over at Mom's Mutterings that you should definitely check out! Pam, send me a quick email at if you're interested in any of these books.

Will have a regular giveaway for anyone who follows via Google Friend Connect. If you follow via email or are a lurker who would like to enter, the Friend Connect is in the left hand column of the blog. Will choose a name via the randomizer, then verify that you've signed up as a follower. Just leave a comment that you want to enter and voila! That's it!

Will have a separate giveaway for those followers who want to be a little creative. Am totally going to steal an interesting, creative, original idea I saw over at Ryan's blog Wordsmithonia: write a haiku! According to, the definition of haiku is: A form of Japanese poetry. A haiku expresses a single feeling or impression and contains three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables, respectively. So to get a second entry, write an original haiku on the subject of your choice. Still have to be a verified follower, as this is a follower celebration, but let's see how creative you can be! Love Haiku!

The important stuff
*US mailing addresses only
*Must be a follower via Google Friend Connect to enter
*Giveaway will close at midnight EST on January 18th, 2010. Winners will be posted online and will have 72 hours to contact me. If I don't hear from them, new winners will be chosen.

Thanks again everyone!
You guys rock!

  11. Okay, I tried to do a haiku. Don't know if it is any good but here I go...

    A Snowflakes Dance

    With such grace, left, right
    Dancing softly thru the land
    Gently, forward, back

  12. HI! Congrats on the followers! Woo Hoo! Can I do an interpretive dance instead of a haiku? :) I havent done this since high school

Ok. I will try. BUT you cant laugh. :)

    in a blink, an escape
    trailing down your face
    in a blink
    wet, cool,

(Seriously do not know what I am doing...)

  13. Goodness gracious, there are tons of contests based on follower numbers out there - and I LOVE it! I think it's great because 1. um, the prizes 2. it's a great way for new bloggers, like me, to find other authory writer people and 3. the prizes, oh did I already say that, then the advice within the blog posts, yeah, that's it.

    Okay, so a haiku:
    Blood, sweat, tears, and...hope
    Giving me inspiration
    To fill in the blanks

Alright, I believe I got the syllable count correct, too bad there's not much of a moral!

  14. Congratulations.

    I'm a follower.

    Thanks for the lovely giveaway.

    I'm composing a haiku.

    Many thanks.

  15. Here's my haiku-

    Lost in thought at night.
    Blurring visions cross my mind-
    At last, a good book.
